Mr. Willy Otim
Willy Otim is an animal health worker operating in the Adur Parish in Dokolo sub county who was first introduced to 3V drugs by Dr. Opondo who mentored him in the proper usage back in 2007.
Willy Otim's experiences are very positive. He says: "After
spraying with Vectocid, farmers now have security in trading their
livestock. The animals become very attractive to buyers thus making
them easily marketable".
Joining the HHS-3 V network has changed Willy Otim's life:
"I now have the security of a daily, guaranteed
income. During a wet season, I make 500,000 Ugandan Shillings
per month and 200,000 during the dry season. I have even been able
to build up a livestock holding of my own - I now own ten cattle.
From funds earned as a spray person, I have also supported my
brothers to marry by paying dowries of five (5) cows for each of
Willy Otim also deals in maize cultivation, a trade he has been
able to maintain because of the extra funds made from his 3Vs
spraying related work.
